Personal Background

Born and raised in Pontiac; graduated from Pontiac Northern High School
Past residences in Waterford and Oxford/Brandon; currently in Lake Orion for over 30 years
Started my GM career at the "old" Pontiac Motor Division where I have many fond memories
Worked at several GM locations, including the "Ren-Cen" and the Warren "Tech Center"
While at GM, was fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel to several locations across the country as well as Germany
Obtained bachelor degree while working full time and raising my family
Extended family members include an "old-fashioned" printer, a retired newspaper editor, retired state employees, and outstanding residential home builders

Personal Interests

Family and close friends are very important to me. I have two lovely daughters and have lived in the Lake Orion area for over 30 years. I enjoy my close-knit family, crafting, and weight training. Time prevents weight training these days, but in my 50 years, I am proud to lay claim to a 225-lb dead lift! What a sense of accomplishment!

I am an avid sports "spectator" and I especially love the Pistons, Red Wings, and Tigers. I even love the Lions! Although there is nothing like being at a game "live," I watch the games on TV with the same enthusiasm as seeing them in person.

I have a special place in my heart for high school competitive cheer leading. I spent many years in the stands watching all of the high school sports and many years attending cheer leading athletic competitions where I gained a great respect for the work ethic and strength required of these young people.
